Perhaps you’ve been interested in teeth straightening treatments and have heard the word Invisalign thrown around. You may be curious about what Invisalign is and whether it’s right for you. In this blog, we’ll answer some frequently asked questions about Invisalign.
Invisalign is a system for teeth straightening that is extremely effective and more comfortable than conventional braces. Invisalign aligners are made from almost perfectly clear medical-grade plastic. The plastic is so clear that unless you look closely, it is easy to overlook that they are being worn at all. Invisalign does not utilize uncomfortable wires or brackets of any kind.
Invisalign is effective for both teens and adults! Each smile is different, and so is every treatment plan. Your journey to a straighter smile starts with a consultation with one of our Invisalign-trained doctors, who will create an Invisalign treatment plan specifically for you.
Your Invisalign treatment plan begins with an extremely accurate scan by our state-of-the-art Itero dental scanning machine. The scan of your mouth allows your doctor to prescribe a personalized and incremental plan for your teeth. Based on that scan, Invisalign aligners are created to move your teeth progressively. Every week or so, you will use a new set of aligners designed to move your teeth closer to the goal.

All treatment plans are different. It is possible to complete your Invisalign treatment plan in six months for minor adjustments. However, most cases take closer to a year to finish treatment. You should begin to notice results in the first few weeks.
Invisalign is an ideal solution for people that have formerly had braces but have had their teeth shift out of alignment. Because Invisalign is so discreet, many adults find them preferable to seeking another treatment with conventional braces.
