Born in Joplin, Missouri, I grew up and went to school in Riverton, Kansas.

I then went to Kansas State University for my undergraduate degree in Biology. Afterward, I studied at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and completed my studies as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

Growing up, I knew I wanted to help people, but I’m also very family-oriented and didn’t want to be gone at work or on call all the time. I’m also a hands-on person and couldn’t see myself at a desk all day. I found at an early age that dentistry provides a good work and life balance. Additionally, Dr. Newton Sharp (my family’s dentist growing up) had a big impact on my decision to pursue a career in dentistry.

As far as hobbies, I’m an avid outdoorsman. I especially enjoy hunting and fishing. Other hobbies include lifting weights/working out, as well as competitive sports like basketball, softball/baseball, and football.
